Oh, this series! My heart! This series had EVERYTHING- heart-pounding suspense, shocking surprises (Alton’s suggestion in the attorney’s office- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?), sexy times, epic romance, great supporting characters (I’m looking at you, Patrick), terrifying villains… I can hardly contain myself! I didn’t think any series could outdo Consequences, and frankly I’d put this off for that reason. How wrong I was! Consequences is still amazing but, man… Infidelity is even BETTER. It is SO good. I have barely slept in days trying to get to the end- I HAD to know what happens! This is one of those amazing series where you finish, and feel sad that there isn’t more to read. Not because it isn’t complete- it so perfectly is- but because it’s so damn good you never wanted it to end. One of those unicorn book series where you henceforth become jealous of those who get to read it for the first time, and wish you could wipe your memory of it and re-experience it for the first time as well. If I sound gushy and crazy it’s because I am… I am that crazy about this book, and this series. This final book of the Infidelity series wraps everything up SO perfectly- we even glimpses into the future in the epilogue and find out how everything turns out for all of the characters. And, that lovely surprise in the epilogue that solves an outstanding mystery? SO SATISFYING. So very highly recommended!
What… that cliffhanger… oh, my god. This series! I can’t even write a proper review of this book- that’s how twisted up I am over this series. It is so much crazier than I ever could have hoped. Ok- sorry, but that’s all you get from this review. Five “drop everything and read this whole series now” stars! Recommended!
So much intrigue! So much suspense! So much… sexy Nox! 😉 This series… I didn’t think anything could be as good as Consequences, but so far I love this series even more. How does Aleatha Romig do it? This book, as with its predecessors, lays backstory and, while answering some questions, at the same time creates more. We finally learn what happened to Nox’s wife, but now have to wonder what is happening with Adelaide (although I have a pretty good idea). Will Alton win? Will Nox save the day? What happens to Chelsea? Will Adelaide be ok? I have so many questions! I love the development of Nox and Alex/Charli’s relationship in this book. They seem to be trusting each other more and more, having fewer miscommunications as the story progresses. Aaagh, I love them together. Their relationship is especially glowing when held against the ruler of what her relationship/life would have been with Bryce. I can’t handle the anticipation- thank goodness I don’t have to wait for the next book! Recommended!!
Amazing. Suspenseful. Hot. Action-packed. I LOVED this book. I LOVED this trilogy. I am so bummed that Eve and Dante’s story has come to an end, but so thrilled that we can look for another book from this world this fall! The author has announced that Rick Sanders is getting his own book, and I couldn’t be more excited! Well, unless Joseph gets his own book. THAT might get me more excited. In any case, this book has it all. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was going to happen next. Would they find Anna? Would she be alive? Can Petrov be trusted? How about agent Peters? Would they solve the mystery of Isabella? I had so many questions, and thankfully got all of my answers. I also loved the chemistry between Eve and Dante. He is so gruff- I just loved the bejesus out of it. And Eve, though well out of her comfort zone, really stands up to Dante. She has an impressive inner strength- she stood in the face of her fear, and stared it down. Nothing stopped her. This the first series by this author, and I am so overly excited about it. I can’t wait for more! Recommended!
The only bad thing about this book is that the next one isn’t out for another two months. I could cry. I am a book binger, and didn’t check to make sure everything was out before I started the series. Shame on me. That said, I am enamored with this series so far. Suspense. Drama. Back and forth angst. A dominant alpha man who doesn’t allow himself to feel. Mystery. Good supporting characters. Scary villains. Action. Love. Hot sexy times. I have so many questions for the third book! I need answers! I need more Dante! I need more Joseph! I NEED the third book! If you like kidnapping stories… stories of obsession… stories with hot men of organized crime… then this series is for you! Fans of Anna Zaires’ series and Mia Knight’s Crime Lord series in particular will probably love this series. I stumbled upon this series from a suggestion in a Facebook comment in a reader group, and I couldn’t be more pleased! I don’t know how or why this series doesn’t have 10x more reviews because it is amazing. Do yourself a favor and read this one! Recommended!
I came across this series as a suggestion in a Facebook group comment of all places, and I’m sure glad I did! I don’t know how I haven’t come across this author before, but this book was great! I am so excited for the second book, and so crushed that the third book’s release date got pushed out until late June. Say it ain’t so! I am a fan of a good kidnapping book, and this one delivers. I like that he never hit her (outside of a few swats on the behind, but that hardly counts), and he didn’t force her. Big points in my book. He intimidated her, sure. Threatened her. But at the end of the day, he relented and granted a degree of mercy on more than one occasion when she asked him to do so. More big points. He doesn’t just push her around, expecting her to fall in line and develop feelings for him as sometimes happens in this kind of book. Thank goodness. I can already imagine a whole host of other books to possibly come from this world the author has created. There are at least two I’d like to see go on the schedule as soon as the third book in this series is released. I love a good five-star read, and I love it even MORE when it comes out of left field, unexpected. Oh, man- if you like kidnapping-turned-love stories I suspect you’ll love this book. I sure did. Recommended!
I LOVE this author’s style. She writes the most incredible romantic suspense. In a Goodreads world slammed full of dark romance/contemporary romance Aleatha Romig’s books stand apart. The suspense/dark component isn’t just window dressing- it could stand on its own even without the romance. And that’s saying something. No other author that I’ve read quite manages to do that. This book was HOT. And suspenseful. And angsty with the feelings, and secrets, and secrets about feelings, and surprises. And the cliffhanger? Oh my! Off I go to book #3! Thank goodness the whole series is already out. I couldn’t do it… I couldn’t wait for it. Recommended!
This is the start of my second series by this author (the first being Consequences), and man… it appears she did it again. I truthfully didn’t think she could put out another series as good as Consequences, and yet here we are. I was not a huge fan of the back and forth between the past and present in the beginning of the book, to be honest. I think the effect would have been the same if it had been a linear story line. That said, it was still really good! Nox and Charli sizzle- his commanding ways coupled with her inexperience are so satisfying. I also really bought into the drama with her family in Georgia- the dynamic, what they expected of her, what they were willing to take from her to gain her compliance. It truly presented a hopeless situation. I am so very glad the whole series is out so I don’t have to wait to find out what happens next. How does Alex react? Have we heard the last of Bryce? How is this whole thing going to work? I need answers! Recommended!
Man, what a ride! A great end to another great trilogy from Meghan March. As usual I ripped through all three books like a woman obsessed, dying to know what happened next. This author crafted some really heartbreaking and frustrating scenes in this one that made me want to tear my hair out. BUT, since we always get our happily-ever-afters with Megan March you know she brought it back around and fixed it. Sour, then sweet. Like Sour Patch Kids. I so thoroughly enjoy her stories. I admit that Lachlan Mount from the Mount Trilogy is still my #1 man out of all of her books, but Jericho Forge really put in the work trying to dethrone him. And evidently Forge DID dethrone Mount for many fans if her Runaway Readers group is any indicator. Another highly recommended trilogy from Megan March, one of only a small handful of authors to whom I grant my automatic and unquestioning one-click. TIP: go ahead and buy all three. You WILL need them. And don’t start them u less you have time to FINISH THEM ALL in one go. You’ll be sorry if you do. Happy reading!
Thank God I waited for the third book to come out before I read the second-that cliffhanger is brutal! As usual Megan March has gifted us with a steamy book full of both suspense and romance, heavy on both. Jericho Forge, forever bachelor, really comes around to wanting to find a way to keep India despite their unusual beginning. She is feeling the same way, but it takes a long time for either to admit it. Both are stubborn and independent so it is a broken road they travel on the way to their feelings, but is oh-so-satisfying. Recommended, as always. I’m off to read the final book!
