A Single Touch by W. Winters
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I’ll start by saying I really enjoy this author’s books. But this series, for whatever reason, didn’t quite do it for me. After considerable thought the only thing I can come up with is that it seemed a bit short on suspense in comparison to her other books, and that seems to be a requirement for me to really enjoy a book. So much time/energy was spent on describing feelings and memories that it left the suspense component (to me) underdeveloped.
Now, that said, I’m aware that most people who read this series LOVED it. So please don’t let my review sway you if you’re considering reading it. Additionally, I still love this world she created. These characters. And so, whether this series would be your jam or not, you need to read it to continue on in the Merciless world. Which I fully intend to do when the next book comes out (Seth) later this summer.
All in all, this series wasn’t my particular flavor, but it was well written. And I’m not sorry I read it because I love the Merciless world and will read anything that is a part of it.

Sometimes you meet someone, maybe meet isn’t the right word. You don’t even have say hello for this to happen. You simply pass by them and everything in your world changes forever. Chills flow all the way from the crook in your neck where you imagine he’d kiss you, all the way down, with only a single glance.
I know you know what I’m referring to. The moment when something inside of you ignites to life, recognizing their other half that’s been gone for far too long.
It burns hot, destroying any hope that it’s only a coincidence, and that life will go back to what it was. These moments are never forgotten.
That’s only with a single glance.
I can tell you what a single touch will do. It will destroy you and everything you thought you knew.
I felt all of this with Jase Cross, every flick of the flames that roared inside of me.
I knew he’d be my downfall, and I was determined to be his just the same.
A Single Touch is the third and final book of the Irresistible Attraction trilogy.
A Single Glance must be read first.
