Can’t Let Her Go

Can't Let Her Go

Can’t Let Her Go by Georgia Le Carre

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Easy read

I have read several of this author’s books. This was not my favorite. That may be more my fault. Is it possible to get spoiled by the story/character development possible with a trilogy/duet, and become disenchanted with standalones? Because I feel like that has happened to me. If it’s a standalone I need it to be pretty lengthy so I can get my fix.
Truthfully this story, while I liked the premise, felt a bit rushed. I would have loved to see it as a duet. There would have been so much more potential. As it was the development of the relationship felt very quick, dare I even say insta-love. If this book have been twice as long, or had a sequel, or something to give it room to stretch its legs, I think it would have been so much better.
I finished the book, but I wasn’t as enthralled as I’ve been with some of her other books.
Recommended for an easy, breezy read, but this isn’t one I see sticking with me.

She was forbidden…but no one told his body

The job was simple.

Go to Russia and collect the package.

She was as pure as the driven snow and my job was to make sure she didn’t drift on the way back.

I didn’t really want to go. Russia in winter is not my idea of fun, but it was a break from hurting men who owed my boss money.

Also I didn’t have a choice. I owe my life to Anakim and what Anakim wants he gets.

It should have been straightforward. In and out.

But that was before I ran into this Russian chick in the local bar. Breathtakingly beautiful, she was. The softest skin imaginable and…she wanted me.
I’m Irish and saying no to hot Russian chicks was not part of my DNA. So I didn’t.

Turned out winter in Russia was exactly my idea of fun.

But the next day I found out the Russian chick was Anakim’s virgin.

The one that was not supposed to drift…The one that was FORBIDDEN to me.
A full length standalone romance with no cheating and guaranteed HEA.

Compulsive reader. Romantic suspense/contemporary romance/dark romance/NA romance addict. Particularly fond of mafia, forced/arranged marriage, secret baby, kidnapping, and dark alpha heroes. Just out here doing my part for humanity- these books won't read themselves.
