Promises (Web of Sin, #3)

Promises (Web of Sin, #3)

Promises by Aleatha Romig

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A good book, but not a great one. And it kills me to say that about a book from this author as she is one of my top favorite authors. It is still a good book, but I did not find it to be on par with her Consequences series nor her Infidelity series. I am generally out of my mind with anticipation, blowing off plans and watching my work clock so I can get back to reading when I’m in the middle of a Romig series, but this one didn’t get me there.
It still has a good backstory. It has plenty of intrigue. It has a possessive alpha kingpin, and a feisty woman who challenges him. It is hot. But somehow it just didn’t quite give me that reading high I’m used to getting with her books.
If this is intended to be your first Aleatha Romig read I implore you to instead start with the Consequences series or the Infidelity series, both of which I absolutely loved.
If you’ve already read this author then you should read this book/series. I seem to be in the minority on this one.
Recommended, but not my favorite from this author.

The twisted and intriguing storytelling that you loved in Consequences and Infidelity is back with the stunning conclusion of an all-new alpha anti-hero in the dark romance series Web of Sin, by New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig.
You won’t believe your eyes as Promises brings the Web of Sin trilogy to a dramatic close.

Have you been Aleatha’d?

Promises is book three of the Web of Sin trilogy.

Compulsive reader. Romantic suspense/contemporary romance/dark romance/NA romance addict. Particularly fond of mafia, forced/arranged marriage, secret baby, kidnapping, and dark alpha heroes. Just out here doing my part for humanity- these books won't read themselves.
