Falling for the Beast by Skye Warren
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Hmmmm
I am perplexed. I was such a fan of the first book of this duet, but the second one just fell flat for me. It didn’t hold my interest in the same way as the first. I needed more. I kept finding my mind wandering, and truthfully struggled a bit to finish. I still give three stars because I really grade from 3-5 stars. I can’t fathom what a book would have to do to get me to rate it one star, but it would be bad. Perhaps kill off all of my beloved characters in unapologetic glee? Who knows.
I still liked the first book, and if you read that then you’ll need the second book for closure, but I can’t say I was in love with it.
Series recommended; second book recommended if you loved the first and want the conclusion/closure.
