Perfect Ending

What a perfect wrap up to this series. This book had some parts that were heartbreaking as Jared and Tate found their way back to one another, but it all worked out. The author did an excellent job of managing that story line- why he left, what they did while apart, the emotional struggles they each experienced, and how they bridged the gap to come back together. It wasn’t a seamless reunion, as you can imagine. There were several painful misfires. But, doesn’t that just make a person more appreciative when they’ve had to work for it? Had to fear losing it? Maybe even felt that they HAD lost it?
I read almost exclusively romance novels of various sub-genres, and not many of them drum up actual feelings. The books in this series certainly did. The broken roads these characters took to find one another, the pain they caused each other, was so bittersweet. When they did find their happy endings they had EARNED them. They had grown. They had seen the err of their ways. They had gone through fire for that relationship, now forged in steel. After what they have already been through there is nothing that could break them.
I loved this series, and this world. I know there is still another book (about Quinn), and I am so excited to check back in with these characters again. To see how extra Jared, Jax, and Madoc are as big brothers. Who wouldn’t want these guys for big brothers? I mean, assuming having them as hot neighbors is off the table, of course.
Off I scurry to read Quinn’s story. Just wanted to drop a line to love on this book and this series.

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of BullyUntil You, Rivaland Falling Away comes the sizzling conclusion to the Fall Away series.

The tables have turned. Now I have the power—and it’s his turn to beg…

Everyone wants to be me.

Maybe it’s the sway of my skirt or the way I flip my hair, but I don’t care. Even though their attention is the last thing I crave, I just can’t stop. I dominate the track, the speed rattles my bones, and the wind and the crowd screams my name.

I’m her. The girl driver. The queen of the race. And I’m surviving—something he thought I’d never do.

They all talk about him. Did you see Jared Trent on T.V? What did you think of his last race, Tate? When is he coming back to town, Tate?

But I refuse to care too much. Because when Jared does come home, I won’t be here.

Tatum Brandt is gone. I’m someone new.
